SUBJECT:                 Rudder pedal reinforcements

APPLICABILITY:        All Vixen Owners who's Aircraft Serial Numbers are:

                                DBT001, ECV001-ECV009, FCV008, GCV010, HCV011-HCV012, ICV013-ICV018, JCV019-JCV022, KCV024, LCV023, LCV025-LCV026, ADV027-ADV030

We are issuing this service bulletin to strengthen an area of potential fatigue with the rudder pedal assembly on all Vixen 1200 aircraft. 

The area of concern is the point at which the vertical pedal tubes are welded to the horizontal tube.  After repeated demonstration use, our factory aircraft has developed small cracks on the horizontal tubing in the area adjacent to the welds.

We have developed a reinforcement kit, P/N 10210.000, that has proven to be a simple and effective solution for strengthening this area.  The reinforcement kit is being sent free of charge to all applicable aircraft owners.
