KITFOX
I completed my Kitfox IV
in March of 2006, after 19 months of building fun. It
was certified as airworthy with no corrections needed. A
test pilot flew it for me, as I had no pilot's license
at the time. He told me later that he usually looks at a
new plane and leaves the owner with a list of things
needed before he will get in it. "This plane is ready to
fly...now," he told me. After receiving training in my
Kitfox, I went for my first solo (in any airplane) in a
plane that I had built myself. I got my Sport Pilot
license 4 months later, just 5 days before my 70th
birthday. This new pilot is thrilled with the way the
plane flies behind the Jabiru 2200 powerplant. I
recently added skis to add to the fun. I now have over
200 hours in this great airplane.
