Kitfox Factory Fly-In
What a
great success!!
Thank You to all those that were able to take the
time and come share in the fun at Homedale Idaho and
make the first Kitfox Aircraft factory fly-in a huge
success.
With the layout ready to go for a great weekend,
Mother nature treated us to a surprise on Friday with an
unexpected thunder storm that spit out just enough rain
for all the dust to stick. She then gave us a great
weekend for the remainder of the Labor Day holiday.
Friday night turned into an impromptu Baked Potato
feed and visiting for those who arrived early. The
smoker was kicked into high gear early Saturday morning
by Tim Petsche. After a morning continental
breakfast the activities commenced... The poker run
scheduled for Saturday morning was beat out by the
desire to socialize and do some local flying... although
a few decided to partake in the poker run which was
about a 3 hour flight.
Lunch was burgers, BBQ'd by the Homedale Chamber of
Commerce for $5. Meat was donated by the Owyhee
Lanes, the buns and condiments by Paul's Market..
all the toppings for the burgers were from local gardens
and chips and drinks supplied by Kitfox.
Flights to the Owyhee canyon reservoir and up and
down the Snake River were happening most of the day...
Dinner... Best way to describe the dinner is AWESOME
! Thank you Tim !! When the folks from
Austin Texas mention how great the Smoked BBQ pork is
you know it had to be good.
Awards were given out for the Poker Run.. Best
hand going to Greg Beard and Worst hand going
to Mark Ferkin...
A special thank you gift was presented to those who
flew their Kitfox to the Fly-in. This gift will only be
available for those that fly their Kitfox to the Annual
Factory fly-in.
Departures followed on Sunday and some more on
Monday...
