What exactly is a Kitfox airplane?   (click here to return to the top of the page)
The Kitfox is a 2 seat side-by-side aircraft that has truly amazing handling characteristics and is just as comfortable in the back country bush flying as it is flying cross country into some of the busiest airspace.
Does the Kitfox qualify for Light Sport Aircraft (LSA)?  (click here to return to the top of the page)

Absolutely !  The current Kitfox can be operated at the 1320 lb gross weight when on gear and the 1430 lb gross when on floats. It can also be converted from floats, to skis, to tail wheel or to Tricycle gear.. Your choice.

How safe is a Kitplane?   (click here to return to the top of the page)

Good question.  Kitplane designs vary drastically and therefore have very different safety records.  The Kitfox is a very safe aircraft and to date has never had an in-flight structural failure.

Where are you located? How do I get in touch with you?   (click here to return to the top of the page)

We are currently in SW Idaho at the Homedale Airport (S66)
Please see our Contact Info page for more information. Email is preferred but you can call us as well.

What are the delivery times for a new kit?   (click here to return to the top of the page)

Current lead times are from 30 to 90 days from order.
Do I need a pilot's license to fly a Kitfox?   (click here to return to the top of the page)

Yes, a minimum of a student license is required. The Kitfox currently in production does not qualify as an ultralight aircraft under FAR part 103.
How can I see a Kitfox in person?   (click here to return to the top of the page)

Come by the factory, visit us at one of the Airshows or let us know where you're at and it may be possible to meet with one of the 5000 Kitfox builders / owners.
How long has Kitfox been around?    (click here to return to the top of the page)

Kitfox was introduced in 1984 and has been sold all over the world.  See the Kitfox History page for more information.
Do you have turn-key Light Sport Aircraft?    (click here to return to the top of the page)

Yes we do.  Please click here to go to that page.
What is the gross weight of a Kitfox?   (click here to return to the top of the page)

The current Kitfox has been structurally tested at 1550 lbs gross weight at +6g and -3g Load Limit.  With an empty weight of 750 lbs, it can easily be operated within the LSA limit of 1320 lb gross. Not concerned about LSA?  Use the full 1550 lb gross weight limit and have an 800 lb useful load.
Can I get flight training in a kitplane that I own?   (click here to return to the top of the page)
Absolutely ! Check out our Contact Info page and let us know...
Are you going to have a factory fly-in?   (click here to return to the top of the page)
